Why we built this

Sundance Visitor Guide started from a practical problem: once Sundance announced its move to Boulder for 2027, the official channels could tell you the dates and the venues, but nobody was answering the question a traveler actually asks first, where do I stay, and how do I get around once I’m there?

Hotel sites list rooms, not walking distance to a screening. Tourism boards cover the whole city, not a nine-day festival squeezed into January. And the forums that usually fill this gap during a festival’s first year in a new city are still empty, because the first year hasn’t happened yet.

So we’re building the resource we’d want ourselves: a site that tracks what’s officially confirmed versus what’s still planned, compares hotel zones against actual venue locations, and prices out the real cost of a Boulder trip, parking, shuttles, and all, before you book anything.

How we work

Every page carries a “last verified” date and links directly to the primary source behind each claim, Sundance Institute, the City of Boulder, CU Boulder, or Visit Boulder. Where information is still pending (ticket pricing, shuttle schedules, parking rules), we say so plainly instead of guessing. See our Editorial Policy for the full standard.
